Sample Coaching Agreement
A sample of the coaching partnership agreement.
For review only. This page does not enroll you in coaching or accept an agreement. Janice and each client confirm the terms of their own partnership directly.
The services to be provided by the coach to the client are coaching in person, zoom or tele-coaching, as designed jointly with the client. Coaching may address specific personal projects, business successes, or general conditions in Client’s life. Life Coaching is NOT Therapy, which attempts to help make a person whole or help to heal wounds from the past; it is NOT Mentoring, advice or Consulting, where an individual holds themselves out to be an expert at something and attempts to teach someone else that way. In Life Coaching, the coach meets the client where they are today, assumes Client is whole, creative, competent, and capable of finding their own solutions; Client is the expert in their own life, the coach is here to help clarify Client’s mission, purpose and/or goals and help Client stay on course in a forward manner to achieve them. The client makes all the choices and is accountable to themselves only, the coach helps support them by keeping them accountable and on task.
Coach and Client will have 2 45–60-minute sessions per month, to be scheduled at the beginning of each month or at the end of each session, as agreed upon between Coach and Client. Client may contact Coach anytime in between sessions via e-mail at Jlardiross@gmail.com or text at 608 576-2324.
Upon completion of the initial three months, coaching will be converted to a month-to-month, or session to session, basis. Client and Coach agree to provide each other with reasonable notice in the event that either wishes to cancel further services.
Coach promises Client that all information provided to the coach, including the fact that Client is a client, will be kept strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party without the prior consent of Client. The only information that will name Client as a client of coach will be the designated coach’s time log, which is necessary for ongoing professional credentialing requirements through the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the industry’s governing body.
Throughout the coaching partnership, the coach will engage in direct and personal conversations. The client can count on the coach to be honest and straightforward in asking questions and making requests. The client understands that the power of the coaching relationship can be granted only by the client, and the client agrees to do just that: have the coaching relationship be powerful. If the client believes the coaching is not working as desired, the client will communicate that belief and take action to return the power to the coaching relationship or discontinue sessions.
