A little clarity. A little courage. A beginning.

Life can be good.
And still be asking
for something more.

Maybe you feel stuck, lost track of how you got here or even where you wanted to go. Maybe life has changed or a dream you buried under more urgent priorities keeps finding its way back to you. Maybe you look at your life and it’s great but still feel like something is missing and you don’t even know what that is.

Life coaching is a transformative partnership created to bridge the gap between where you are today and where you truly want to be. Whether you’re navigating a career pivot, setting healthier boundaries, or striving for a deeper sense of fulfillment, this is your platform to grow with confidence and without apology.

Together, we’ll cut through the overwhelm, silence self-doubt, and build a clear, actionable roadmap toward a life defined by your own standards of success. I will be by your side, as your co-pilot, every step of the way, helping to keep you on the course you have set, redirect when desirable, and hold you accountable to yourself.

Life coaching with me is a dedicated partnership designed to help you clarify your goals, overcome burnout, and create a life and/or career that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside. Through personalized guidance, actionable strategies, and unwavering support, you will get the space to step back, re-center, and design a life that truly aligns with who you are today.

Awareness.
Acceptance.
Action.

Then, repeat.
A practice for becoming your best self.

Notice what’s there.

What is happening right now? Through thoughtful questions, we’ll explore your goals, the patterns you notice, and the dreams that keep returning.

Start where you are.

Consider your whole life—mind, body, sense of connection, and emotions. Ground your next step in what works for you, rather than an imagined ideal.

Take one small step.

Together, we’ll create a plan, break it into manageable actions, and make room to adjust. I’ll support you in staying accountable along the way.

What’s on your mind?

There’s no right answer. Choose a starting point.

What is one thing you keep wishing could be different?

You don’t need to solve it today. Simply noticing it can be a beginning.

Janice standing beside the lakeHello, I’m Janice.

A journey of my own.
A belief in yours.

“I believe that each of us is unique for a reason.”

My path to coaching wasn’t a straight line. It took me from studying English and psychology to law school, a career in corporate law, and motherhood. Raising three boys helped me pause the daily rush of external “shoulds” and reconnect with what truly mattered to me.

My love of nature, movement, and understanding what makes us human has stayed with me throughout. In 2014, I completed the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Professional Life Coaching Certification.

I’m still on a journey of discovery, too. I want to help you find a sense of fulfillment and support you as you gain the courage and confidence to take your next step.

More of my story

I grew up in New York State, riding horses and caring for animals, and volunteered at therapeutic riding stables for children with disabilities. I studied English and psychology at Boston University before earning my JD at New York Law School.

My career included legal work at Chanel, WPS, North American Mechanical, and Comfort Systems USA. Later, becoming a fitness instructor brought together my interest in health, physiology, and helping people grow.

Those experiences inform a coaching approach that considers the whole person—our minds, bodies, emotions, and sense of connection.

My Manifesto

I am unconditional support offering perspectives without judgment

  • I will provide support (vs. BE support) to the Hero in each of us
  • I will reignite my pilot light and let it shine to help others see
  • I will be confident in who I am and bring that into everything I do
  • I will honor my inner voice
  • I will accept “what is” in a positive light
  • I will be courageously vulnerable in the interest of learning and sharing
  • I will be authentic, motivating and considerate while remaining open and trusting (I will replace judgement with curiosity)
  • I will honor my purpose by being true to myself and sharing my gifts of perspective
  • I will surrender to the discomfort of the growth zone with curiosity and a zest for life
  • I will look for the best in everyone
  • I will share myself and honor requests for trust
I’d love to learn about you
“Baby steps get you further than standing still and are less frightening than a major leap.”

What can coaching
help you explore?

A starting point for the work we can do together.

  • Take ownership of your priorities and what feels meaningful to you.
  • Give yourself permission to choose yourself.
  • Move beyond autopilot and make room for a more intentional life.
  • Build self-appreciation and a sense of worth rooted in who you are.
  • Explore what meaningful contribution looks like in your family, friendships, and community.
What to expect from coaching

A few things
you may be wondering.

Do I need a clear goal before we begin?

No. Discovering what you want can be part of the work. You can begin with a feeling of being stuck, a transition, or a question you’d like to explore.

What happens in a coaching session?

Janice asks questions to help you explore what is happening now, identify challenges, and choose a course of action. Together, you develop practical steps and a way to stay accountable.

Is coaching the same as therapy?

No. Life coaching focuses on goals, choices, and actions to move you forward towards a goal. It is distinct from therapy, counseling, and mentoring, and does not replace those services.

How do I get started?

Send Janice an email to ask about the complimentary 30-minute sample session. You can discuss your interests, availability, session format, and whether working together feels like a fit.
